Amazingly, I haven't seen many Siberian Huskies in my Colorado studio. Perhaps it's because their families think of them as outdoorsy, free spirits and don't expect an indoor portrait to capture their personality.
Fortunately, last week my clients, John & Dawn brought their stunning boy, "Tuyok" in for his first photo session. A lean 3 year old, they thought that he may be a bit indifferent and have "selective hearing" during our time together. As it turned out, he was extremely cooperative and engaged.
First image, a jaw dropper! Laying perpendicular to the camera with his head turned straight to me with such intensity. I knew this was going to be a great session. We went thorough a wide range of poses and at the end rewarded him with something fun to do, a rawhide for him to work his choppers on.
Simple, classic black and grey backdrops set off his silvery coat and gorgeous brown eyes. Before we knew it, we were all done with a generous selection of images capturing this Husky's splendor. I'm excited to see the Print Wrap & Portrait Folio are that are on order. Their leathery appearance will showcase Tuyok's portraits perfectly.
