Each Edition of Canine Colorado Begins with a Community.

We partner with rescues and breed organizations across Colorado, then spend the following months meeting the families who love these remarkable dogs. By the time each magazine is complete, it has become more than a collection of portraits, it has become a portrait of the community itself.

Every edition tells a different story. This fall, we have the privilege of telling the story of Colorado's Doberman community.

This Fall, We Celebrate the Doberman

Known for their intelligence, loyalty, and unwavering devotion, Dobermans have earned a special place in the lives of the families who love them. Behind every Doberman is a relationship shaped by trust, companionship, and countless shared moments.

The eighth edition of Canine Colorado is dedicated to celebrating those relationships through portraiture and storytelling while supporting the work of Saving Dobermankind Animal Rescue.

A Magazine Built One Story at a Time

Every participating Doberman is featured in a custom two-page spread that pairs professional portraiture with the story of the bond they share with their family.

Over the course of the project, each family's story becomes part of something larger. Together, they create a portrait of Colorado's Doberman community—its friendships, its shared passion for the breed, and the remarkable dogs that bring them together.

It's one of the things that makes Canine Colorado so meaningful. Each edition becomes both a celebration of the dogs themselves and a lasting record of the people whose lives have been shaped by them.

Supporting Dobermans in Need

By participating in Canine Colorado, families help support Saving Dobermankind Animal Rescue and the important work they do caring for Dobermans across Colorado.

It's a partnership that reflects the heart of the project: celebrating the dogs we love while helping others find the homes and families they deserve.
